Will therapy work for me?

It can! But it takes more than what I can do. Your participation is necessary. And although my training, skills, and experience matter, research shows that the most important component is our relationship. It is the two of us coming together toward the same goal that makes real change happen.

What can I expect?

Seeing a therapist can be daunting. Your guard may be up a bit at first. That's natural. Initially, there may be some structure with questions and answers for assessment and to get to know you. Following that, the session is your space, your time, and you can fill it however you like. There is no one right way. Between sessions, you might want to write down ideas to talk about in session. I can lead or follow. You decide.

Can anyone do Walk & Talk therapy?

Any individual regardless of fitness level can benefit. The movement in these sessions is easygoing, designed to facilitate the psychotherapy process. Your walk-talk experiences are created just for you, reflecting your goals, interests, and state of being at the time we meet. You'll set the pace and I'll follow your lead.

Do you take insurance?

As an out-of-network provider my services may be covered in part by your health insurance. Check your coverage carefully. You may also receive reimbursement through your employer Health Savings Account which allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars for medical expenses. I can provide you with a billing statement that you can submit with your health claim reimbursement.
